FFWPU France, Chamarande, October 30 November 1, 2015: There was a set of 38 participants: 16 members from our region and 10 guests plus 12 members as staff (including our 2 Japanese CIG Youth Missionaries and 4 lecturers). Most participants arrived on Friday, a few others on Saturday and finally some on Saturday and the last ones on Sunday…On the first day, participants arrived progressively, between 1 and 3 pm. The first two lectures were on the Principles of Creation, taught by Didier Guignard. After dinner, around a table everyone could introduce him or herself and get to know each other. The following day, other guests arrived for the day and two stayed until Sunday. The whole day of Saturday was filled with lectures:The Fall by Claudine Decamp The Messiah by Médard ZinsouThe Principles of Restoration by Freddy PattaA brief Summary on Providential History with quotations of True Father on God and Restoration by Yves Massy, pastor of the Paris RegionThere was time in the afternoon for a walk to the nearby Chateau de Chamarande in a bright autumn sun. After diner, guest and staff had a very informative exchange on the topics taught during the day. The lecture of the Fall was the most striking for our guests; two Second-generation members expressed having had a profound realization. Overall, all expressed their satisfaction of having spent rich moments and new gained understanding. The workshop was globally good, but the results are yet to evaluate, since there were different kinds of participants on various levels of understanding (new guests, associate members, young members, etc.). On the other hand, this kind of “family workshop” is very effective, since the guests feel “at home”, the members are challenged, and the young members in the staff find their place supporting the lectures, taking care of kids, play an instrument or help in the kitchen. Some expressed the desire to teach the Divine Principle. On Sunday, all participated in the local Sunday Service held by the community of Arpajon. Didier share a message about God and the Last Days. After lunch, gradually all participants returned home with a small gift made by the Japanese sisters: a wonderful hand-decorated card with Father’s word on the back: Subarashi! There are many areas for improvement, like keeping the time allocated for each lecture and leaving more space for questions and answers.
