MINISTER MEETS WITH PARENTS FOLLOWING CONCERNS OVER DONEGAL’S CLEARY HOUSE

first_imgThomas Pringle TDA successful meeting was held today between Minister Lynch and delegates from the Cleary Centre of Donegal Town.Thomas Pringle TD who arranged the meeting described it as ‘positive’ saying the Parents and Friends Association of the Cleary Centre and its service users were happy with the outcome.‘The Minister confirmed at the meeting that she has asked the HSE to look at the proposed building in Donegal Town and pressed the need for the HSE to maintain good communications with the Parents and Friends Association including the service users’ says Pringle. ‘The Minister also accepted that the service users should be kept together if at all possible. This was particularly positive as the thought of relocation had been very worrying for them.’‘Furthermore, the HSE have agreed to keep contact with the Parents and Friends’ Association and service users throughout the whole process,’ continues Pringle.‘This meeting was a great opportunity for the Parents and Friends Association and service users to voice their concerns directly to the Minister and the HSE. I am glad of the outcome and look forward to working with all involved to securing a permanent solution appropriate to the needs of the service users’ concludes Pringle.The meeting with the Minister was organised by Thomas Pringle TD after a successful protest outside Leinster House arranged by the Parents and Friends Association of the Cleary Centre and its service users.
